Our Story

SALLY CORNISH

My name is Sally and I am the owner and creator of Sweet Sourdough Bakes. 
I started my hospitality career working in kitchens from 2007 and a became a qualified chef in 2012, working in fine dining al a carte restaurants to catering large events and weddings.
Last year I discovered a love for sourdough and started growing my own sourdough starter which I call Mabel.
I have been having so much fun experimenting with Mabel over the last year, who knew there were so many creative and delicious foods you can make with sourdough starter that doesn't always have to be bread.
Through my many years working as a chef I was always taught to use the best ingredients where possible and that mindset has followed through to what my beliefs are today, which is quality over quantity. I would much rather spend my time creating beautiful delicious handmade foods that people will absolutely love and enjoy, over mass produced rushed items any day.
With saying that I always ensure to use premium ingredients in all of my baking, along with making food from scratch fresh to order, whether it's a simpler or more complex recipe.
When you order from my small business you are guaranteed to get the absolute best taste and texture experience, as well as being made fresh specifically for you (you can say for each order I really am your own private chef!)
